Most of our lives are spent not being aware of how we move or don’t move our bodies. The movement pillar is focused on not just creating variability in the planes of motion in which the body moves but also cultivating awareness in patterns throughout the course of the day as our intention usually fades after we finish our days “workout'“. This is done to mitigate the damage that sitting, holding unfavorable and unbalanced positions or just a lack of unique movement can do to the human body
Optimization is all about what you put into your body. Most people focus on things such as nutrition and supplementation, which are both keys elements to Optimizing your fitness and health. But what about the things we put into our mind? The media we take in, the news and tv programs we watch, the music we listen to, the conversation and dialogue that goes on around us both externally and internally. These elements are often overlooked until they are brought to our awareness. We cultivate positive, empowering, and affirming language both in and outside our bodies so that when coupled with the food and supplementation we take, our internal world becomes a temple that cannot be crumbled.
Recovery is the most important because…
We spend most of our lives beating ourselves up, both physically and mentally. We live in a state of red alert (aka Sympathetic State of the Nervous System). This is due to the long hours of (often times seated) work, over-consumption of processed food and stimulants, chemical toxins from daily used products and polluted air, and hard charging workouts to “blow off the steam” from everything else that life throws at us. By the end of the day we are a shell of ourselves wondering how we even made it this far. Through a myriad of protocols within the Recovery Pillar can we reclaim a state of ease, relaxation and peace to help us execute our daily tasks, be present in our most valued relationships and to be more deeply connected with our most important ally, Ourselves.
